Joakim Noah Out Three Weeks: Fantasy Impact

The Chicago Bulls announced on Wednesday that they would be without emerging young center Joakim Noah for the next three weeks; Noah is struggling with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

The impact on the Bulls comes with some hesitation. Luol Deng, the team’s second-best rebounder, has been struggling through a bad knee lately and missed his first game of the season in Chicago’s last outing. Derrick Rose has been carrying the team for a couple weeks, but has been seen with ice bags on his own knees recently as well.

If looking for two players to see increased production in Noah’s absense, look at forwards Taj Gibson and Hakim Warrick. Both have played well lately, and, especially in the case of Warrick, should see more minutes and rebound opportunities with Noah watching from the bench.

Beware of Brad Miller, however. He’ll likely see an increase in minutes as well, but hasn’t produced as much.
