According to a  source inside Halas Hall, defensive end Julius Peppers and running back Chester Taylor have already come to contract agreements with the Chicago Bears, and today's visits to Lake Forest are merely a formality to sign contracts.

The source tells ChicagoBearsBuzz.com that Bears head coach Lovie Smith flew in to Charlotte, Peppers' hometown, after midnight last night to recruit the Pro Bowl defensive end. And apparently it worked.

Specifics of both Peppers' and Taylor's contracts will probably be made known later today.

Hit it back to ChicagoBearsBuzz.com later today for more breaking news on these heralded signings.
