2010 NFL Combine Results: Defensive Backs Who Lifted Poorly
Coming into Tuesday, the final day of field drills at the NFL Scouting Combine at Indianapolis, most of the defensive backs have participated in the bench press, and there are a few very disappointing performances.
Even though the bench press really just shows upper body strength and a player's commitment to working out consistently more than anything else, several cornerback and safeties could barely put up the 225 pounds.

Dominique Frannks, CB, Oklahoma State
Franks has good height and weight to succeed in the NFL at 5'11" and 194 pounds, but he workout ethics and strength are now coming into question since he only managed 10 reps on the bench press.
Projected as a third-round pick, Franks will need to step up during drills and events on Tuesday.
Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky
Lindley's name has been a buzz coming into the combine, and despite needing to pack on a few pounds, he has good size at 5' 11" and 183 pounds.
Lindley only managed nine reps on the bench and is projected as a third or fourth-round pick. He, too, needs to make up some ground.
Chad Jones, S, LSU
Jones is a big safety at 6' 2" and 221 pounds, and one would think he should be able to put up 225 pounds several times, but Jones only managed nine reps.
Projected as a mid-second-round pick, Jones' stock will drop if he cannot impress scouts and coaches.
Chris Cook, CB, Virigina
It remains to be seen if Cook would be a better fit as either a corner or safety due to his size at 6' 2" 212 pounds, but Cook's strength may now come into question since he lifted 225 pounds only seven times.
Projected as a sixth- or seventh-round pick, Cook may end up falling out of the draft, and he may become an undrafted free agent now.
Joshua Moore, CB, Kansas State
Moore only managed two reps...looks like he did not help his draft stock at all.
