NFL Combine 2010 Results: Was Georgia's Geno Atkins Monday's Top Performer?

Geno Atkins has had the best day at the Combine today so far.
He surprised everyone by arriving to the Combine with about 10 extra pounds of muscle added to his already big frame—his official weight is 293 lbs.
Clearly this added weight is functional because come bench press time, Atkins was one of the stars.
He put up the 225 lbs over and over again, until his total was 34. This number has put him in the top five so far for defensive linemen, and is much better than Gerald McCoy, 23, and slightly better than Ndamukong Suh, 32.
But Atkins was just getting started today.
He then proceeded to run his 40 time in an unofficial 4.75 seconds—not bad for a 6'1", 293 lbs defensive tackle.
This has been the best time for all defensive tackles so far today, and Geno Atkins has been an all-around stud in all drills.
Atkins is taking the bull by the horns and proving to teams why he should be considered a top prospect for the NFL.
This strong performance should bump Atkins's stock to the late second or early third round.
Stay tuned for more updates at the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine.
