Elite LT prospect Russell Okung cut short his NFL combine due to picking up a groin injury.

Oklahoma State's LT has firmly cemented himself as the best tackle in this year’s draft and the injury should not hurt his stock, despite not being able to perform the high jump, broad jump, shuttle, or three-cone drills.

Okung performed well, looking very athletic in pass protection and change-of-direction drills before sustaining, what is to be a ‘minor’ groin injury.

Earlier in the day Okung ran a respectable 5.17 seconds in the 40 yard dash and benched 225 pounds an impressive 38 times.

Okung, who is tipped to be a sure fire top five selection, will now wait until his pro day to underline his intentions of becoming the first tackle taken in this year’s draft.
