Michael Ryder has a chance at redemption this upcoming season. And has one man to thank for that, Boston Bruins head coach, Claude Julien. Ryder before last season had netted 30 goals for two seasons straight. But was in new Montreal head coach Guy Carbonneau's dog house.
Ryder was limited in ice time and mounted a 31 total point season. But Julien who has coached Ryder for parts of his junior, AHL, and NHL career wanted Ryder to follow him to Boston.
There is no doubt Ryder is a talented player with a nose for the net. But his work ethic left something to be desired with Guy Carbonneau and the Montreal coaching staff.
So this off season Ryder signed a three year four million per season contract with the Boston Bruins. One only hopes that Ryder can get back to his old form of scoring. Because this sounds like a serious gamble by a coach that finally has his team going in the right direction.

Ron,
Good article.
You are correct in hoping that Michael Ryder gets back on track with Julien as his coach. Look, he can't do any worse than what Murray was producing last year.
I agree and think this will be the year Ryder gets back on track.

Thanks Shawn. Murray was terrible, and over paid by miles.
