Danica Patrick is here to stay in Nascar!

In Fontana last week Danica Patrick spent the entire race learning the car and the feel of what good was supposed to feel like. Today in Las Vegas, she ran really well compared to last week. She had a good feel for the car and she was racing and passing some veterans of the sport most notably Mike Bliss, until a lap 84 wreck with Michael McDowell who had just returned to the track from an earlier wreck.

She seemed really comfortable with the car and even with the wreck, she has to be happy with her progress in just three races. Now she goes back to the IRL to return later in the season to Nascar. Rest assured that her learning experience in these past three races will absolutely make her able to step it up upon her return. This woman can drive! She's proven that.

I look forward to her return to the Nationwide Series! Her next Nationwide event is June 26 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. NHMS is a 1 mile track with only 12 degrees of banking in the turns. I have a hunch that the New Hampshire track will be a good return for Danica Mania. Mark Martin has won there, Dale Jr has won there. Tony Eury Jr has the experience of being a winning crew chief there. All of this experience that she will have at her disposal will certainly give her a great opportunity.

It is truly an exciting time to be a fan of this sport.
