Saskatoon to Have Their Own CFL Team?

I have found out that there are some rich people that want to bring the CFL to Saskatoon. They tend to want to burn the bridge of the whole province behind one CFL team and make two CFL teams. They believe the southern part of Saskatchewan can support the Roughriders on their own.

Saskatoon's area does have more people than Regina's area, so if the southern part of Saskatchewan is able to handle a CFL team on their own, than more than likely the northern part can handle a CFL team on their own.

I agree with the fact that it is definitely possible for this to work, but the idea of half of Saskatchewan cheering for another team seems absurd to me. We have all bought Roughrider paraphernalia for so long, and Saskatoon also has a Saskatchewan Roughrider store.

What would happen if Saskatoon did end up getting it's own team? It would be hard for half the province to give up their Rider pride, and another part would say "hey we don't have to drive two hours anymore to see a game" and it would be nice to have our own team in our own city for once.

What is your opinion on this subject?
