With the off season just underway the Oakland Raiders need to pump up their fan-base and give us a more memorable draft than last year.

Look for the Raiders to vastly improve their run defense, run offense, and passing assault. The keys to doing just that are to draft based on things other than SPEED. Alright lets do this....

1st Round: LB Rolando McClain, Alabama

94023934

With the 8th overall pick we finally put an end to our long miserable years of not being able to stop the run. Solid Pick, an absolute winner and playmaker.

2nd Round: DT Jared Odrick, Penn State

92882978

Jared Odrick has been great this year, racking up 41 tackles, 10 TFL, and six sacks. He has first-round talent, but will likely go in Round 2 because of an arrest back in March.

3rd Round: RT Kyle Calloway, Iowa

95598149

Earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention. A solid right tackle prospect whose DUI shouldn't be a concern because he was riding a mo-ped at the time.

4th Round: QB Jevan Snead

91807151

Jevan Snead has declared for the 2010 NFL Draft. This may seem strange, but it's the right move; Snead had less talent around him this year than he did in 2008, and he would have had nothing in 2010. He was also in danger of being benched. Snead's upside will get him drafted early on Day 3 at the very worst. Life after Jamarcus begins here.

5th Round: RG Sergio Render

78203663

Made the All-ACC Second Team despite playing through a chest injury toward the end of the year. Would be a steal in the 5th rd.

6th Round:CB Javier Arenas

93537097

A First-Team All-American, Javier Arenas had 70 tackles, 11 TFL, five sacks, and five passes broken up. Arenas had just one return touchdown, but still averaged 15.4 on punt returns and 29.0 yards on kickoffs. Even if he doesn't make it as a corner, Arenas still deserves late round consideration....another steal.
