Mikhail Youzhny Looks to Halt Tipsarevic Run

Russia's Mikhail Youzhny will look to halt the superb run of Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic in the Quarter Finals of the ATP 500 event in Dubai later today. Tipsarevic caused a huge upset yesterday when he managed to beat the British number 1 in 3 sets 7-6 4-6 6-4. Youzhny has been in good form so far this season, he reached the final of the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam Holland, but he had to withdraw injured in the championship match against Robin Soderling of Sweden. Mikhail Youzhny’s best showing in a Grand Slam was in the US Open back in 2006, when he defeated the then world number 2 Rafael Nadal in the 4th round in 4 sets. The Russian backed up that result by reaching the Semi Finals at Flushing Meadow before eventually losing to the home favourite Andy Roddick in 4 sets. Youzhny will feel that he has a great chance to go all the way and win the title this week.
