Not even 24 hours after resigning Evgeni Malkin,Brooks Orpik, and Marc-Andre Fleury, and losing Marian Hossa, the Penguins have begun to rebuild their army.
Pittsburgh has signed stars Miroslav Satan and Ruslan Fedotenko from the New York Islanders, both for one-year deals. Pittsburgh GM Ray Shero says that even though neither of those players put up the points that were expected out of them, a change of scenery would be a good thing.

With all of the offensive weapons that the Penguins have, those 2 players are bound to find someone to be able to play alongside.
"These are one-year deals for both of these guys, so I think motivationally for these guys, they will really push themselves and it can be invigorating for their careers to get with a group of guys with a lot of skill," Shero said. "Both of these guys should be able to help us out. By signing these two players, I think it gives balance to our lineup."
Just be sure of one thing, Pittsburgh WILL be a force to be reckoned with again next season.

I think Satan's off-season last year had more to do with the fact that he had little help around him on Long Island. I think he'll have a resurgent year in Pittsburgh with all their playmakers. This is a very good signing and could be one we'll be talking about as the steal of free agency.
