Derek Anderson is due a roster bonus this upcoming month in March, I expect him to be released due to his roster bonus. Having said that, he is still on the roster of the Cleveland Browns. If Anderson should be released, here are the lists of teams that could take a chance on Derek Anderson. Inside, I will break down each team and why they could possibly take a chance on Anderson.
Arizona Cardinals
Due to Kurt Warner's retiring, the Cardinals are going with Matt Leinart for the starting job who previously started in 2006 and 2007. You think they are comfortable with Leinart? I think not. With Warner out of the picture, perhaps maybe they could go with Derek Anderson who could possibly revive his career if he goes to Arizona.
Minnesota Vikings
If Brett Favre retires this year for good, I think one of the possible suitors for Anderson could be Minnesota. I know it's probably a long shot, but still anything can happen.
St Louis Rams
Due to the QB problems the Rams have, the Rams are thinking about drafting Bradford or Clausen but I feel they need to get an actual offensive line before they get a quarterback. So I think they could look for a stop-gap or some one that can start and groom their future QB. Another place that could use Anderson.
Oakland Raiders
Oakland Raiders could definitely be a good place for Anderson, because they have good, speedy receivers that can catch and they have a pass catching tight end named Zach Miller.
Denver Broncos
This is a weird one. The Broncos have a pretty good quarterback in Orton, yet the Broncos or should I say Mcdaniels doesn't want him back. They really don't have a good QB besides Orton, and if Orton is let go, I expect the Broncos to take a long hard look at Anderson.
