Dem Gator Boys are Hot!

Ah Remember the "glory days" of a mere 3 years ago when the Gators had some form of inside game with Horford, Noah and Richard, and never threw up threes beyond the NBA line (aside from Lee Humphrey occasionally)? Well I miss 'em.

But, looking on the bright side, the Gators have managed to run down Auburn and Ole Miss back-to-back after two horrible losses to Xavier and South Carolina the week before. Now these aren't exactly great opponents either, but it is something.

If Vernon Macklin can continue to own the paint and our guards decide to feed it to him and Alex Tyus, then we have a chance to knock off any of our final four opponents: Tennessee, at Georgia, Vandy and finally Kentucky at Rupp.

For Tennessee this Tuesday, we will have to guard the perimeter and dominate the post game on offense. If Tyus decides to hit a shot and Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker shoot well from behind the arc (in moderation please!) then Tennessee is a beatable opponent. Georgia we should roll over. They are slow and if we bring a press, we'll be just fine. Vandy will provide a real challenge just days before the showdown with UK. In my humble opinion, A.J. Ogilvy is the most over-hyped, overrated player in the SEC and with Macklin at his best, we can stop him. Then it Wildcat time.  If combine all of the things we did in the previous 3 games into one game and multiply it by at least 5, then maybe, just maybe, we can knock of the #2 Cats at their own, hostile environment.

'Nuff Said.

Go Gators!!
