Okay, so the best on best hockey tournament that is the 2010 Winter Olympics has finally arrived and everybody is caught up in the hoopla.
But after watching the first few preliminary games, I have come to the conclusion that I miss the hard-nosed play of the NHL.
Aside from the Sharks line of Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, and Dany Heatley, the only player that was really entertaining to watch against the Swiss was Brendan Morrow. He was crashing, banging, and creating things every time he hit the ice...which wasn't too often.
To me, it looked like Canada could have used more of that, as the undersized Team Switzerland seemed to match Canada's physical play throughout the game.
On that note, I thought it would be fun to take a look at a dream team of the NHL modern era tough guys that could also play.
I picked the team by position, and took into consideration penalty minutes along with production, so without further ado, I give you the NHL's All-Mean Team.
