Dan Boyle is off to San Jose. Dan Boyle agreed to waive his no-trade this morning to go to the San Jose Sharks. The Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks are just working out the final details of the deal.
The Trade is expected to look like this:
To San Jose:
Dan Boyle
Bran Lukowich
To Tampa Bay:
Matt Carle
A 1st round draft pick
Prospect
A 4th round draft pick
-----------------------------------
I have said it before and I will say it again, Tamp Bay is going to need to get a lot back, not give up a lot, and in this trade they gave up a lot. Sure they got a 1st rounder and a good young D man, but they are going to need a really good prospect for this to be good for Tampa. This is a great deal for San Jose who has really bolstered their blue line this summer, with the signing of Rob Blake, and now trading for Brad Lukowich and Dan Boyle.
This will be a great trio to work with Cristian Erhoff, Douglas Murray and Marc-Edouard Vlasic. Watch out for the Sharks this year as they should be a threat to the finals.

Yeah it's no big deal for sure.
As a Leafs fan this is a tough trade to look at. San Jose sounded like a premiere destination for Kubina, now, I don't know where he goes.
