Montreal, Laraque, 3 years, and $4.5 million

Montreals siging Laraque is a good move by Gainey. It may have been Montreal's only signing yesterday but I think that this turned out to be an alright day for Bob Gainey.

Montreal Canadiens made a fairly good move by signing George Laraque to a three -year $4.5 million contract. If you asked me what I thought of this signing, I think it was good, George Laraque is exactly what the Canadiens need. 

A tough guy that scores the odd goal and who isn't afraid to protect the younger guys on his team who have big mouths and can't back it up. I don't think that the Canadiens have a real tough guy and/or fighter that they definitely need.

It may have been Montreal's only signing yesterday but I think that this turned out to be an alright day for Bob Gainey.

    yes riley, great move, but they also signed G Marc Denis yesterday, infact, it was in the same headline on tsn.ca
