American Speed Skater Shani Davis defends his men's 1,000 meter speed skating title.

After winning gold in the 2006 Olympics 1000m speed skating, Davis defended his title by winning his second consecutive gold medal in that same event in the 2010 Olympics.

USA's Davis would win the gold in 1min and 08.94 seconds, South Korea's Tae-Bum Mo wins silver in 1 min and 09.12 seconds, and USA's Chad Hendrick wins bronze in 1 min and 09.32 seconds.

Davis who set a world record last March in Salt Lake City, and in 2006 the first African American to win the gold medal in the Winter Olympics, became the first person to win back to back gold medals in this event.

After these impressive achievements, I believe Shani Davis has earned the right to be on the Wheaties box with other great athletes from the Winter Olympics.
