Marc Bulger was reported to have recently cleaned out his locker. Was it dirty? Or is he leaving? There have been no official reports of Bulger being released but he will be making around $8.5 million in 2010 if he stays with the team.

My guess is that he will be released. St. Louis has the number one overall pick in the 2010 draft. Many mock drafts have them taking Ndamukong Suh at number one. Others have them taking Quarterback Jimmy Clausen. My guess is that we will better know when or if they decide to release Bulger.

By releasing Bulger it will save them a big chunk of change in 2010. Drafting the top lineman isn't a horrible idea but they need to move forward. I understand that there's not many quarterbacks that can succed behind their current line but if they don't get someone that can open up the passing game, Steven Jackson will try and find a way out of St. Louis fast.

Bulger hasn't played a full season since 2006. He's become injury prone and this is not a guy that you want leading your team in 2010 especially when they've passed on top quarterbacks in the last few drafts.

My prediction is that he will be cut within the next few weeks. Not only that, but he will be signed shortly after that. He will sign with one of two teams. Arizona or Oakland. Both have been known to bring in veteran competition. Kurt Warner just retired from Arizona and they will need someone to come in to compete with Leinart.
