One of the hottest trade rumors in the NFL today, starting cornerback Antonio Cromartie is looking to be dealt for a starting caliber running back.

According to Chris Mortenson, the San Diego Chargers are looking to obtain a running back for Cromartie. Its pretty evident that the Chargers will say their goodbyes to their all time leading rusher in LaDainian Tomlinson. Restricted Free Agent Darren Sproles could hit Free Agency this offseason. Darren Sproles at best would fit well as a third down back and in the return game.

San Diego has a lot of flexible options to consider here. Here are four teams that have the best chance to claim Cromartie in a trade.

1. Dallas Cowboys could shop Tashard Choice or Marion Barber to San Diego. Choice would be the best option.
2. Baltimore Ravens would look to trade Willis McGahee. The Ravens could use a great corner like Cromartie.
3. Green Bay Packers are getting old at the conerback spot. While still playing at elite levels, getting breaks would be useful, when acquiring a player like Cromartie.
4. New York Giants could send either Bradshaw or Jacobs. I see them letting Jacobs go more than Bradshaw. Jacobs would be the pounding back they are looking for.
