As I said yesterday, hopefully the commitment of Adam Gress will help Penn State have a big July. Well we are 2 days into the month and Penn State has landed is 2nd commit of the month and 14th overall.
Running Back Curtis Dukes has commit today to play for Penn State. He is from Philadelphia (NY) Indian River, He is not a top 150 player but is a big solid running back who will be a nice addition to the 4 young backs Penn State currently has.
Dukes is 6'2, 235lbs, and chose Penn State over the likes of Pitt, Syracuse and Uconn. As I said yesterday, lets hope this continues to be a big summer for Penn State and its 2009 freshman class which is shaping up to be a top 10 class.
Dukes ran for 900 yards and 15 touchdowns a year ago. He was an all-North selection as a junior and was a first team all-section and third team all-state selection as a sophomore in 2006, after rushing for 1,342 yards.
Lets hope these solid numbers roll over to college!
