As I sit through another day at my exciting job in Myrtle Beach, I casually glance at ESPN.com to come across this headline:

Donovan McNabb could be heading south to the Panthers??? I am sitting here in my comfortable chair at work, like really?

Here is the deal. I have all the respect in the world for McNabb, and Eagles fans are idiots for talking how much they want to trade him.

The Carolina Panthers need a franchise quarterback, no way around it. The scheme in Carolina is successful with a great running game and stifling defense. For example, look at Mark Sanchez. He has a three-headed monster in Washington: Shonn Greene, and Thomas Jones, and a very underrated defensive coach in Rex Ryan. The Jets only made it to the AFC Championship game.

Jake Delhomme needs to go home, and the Panthers need to do what they got to do to pick up a franchise quarterback. Hopefully, the Panthers do not trade another first-round pick for McNabb.
