Frank Lampard will always be a Chelsea legend. A true blue through and through. For nearly eight years now Frank Lampard has become a crucial part of Chelsea's success becoming the top goal scorer from midfield in the clubs history.
But maybe its time for him to move on. I love Frank Lampard, the way he makes our midfield tick but times are changing and new players are emerging. Frank is 30 now and I think Chelsea have had the best out of him.
With new younger players in midfield such as John Mikel Obi and Michael Essien, Chelsea have all the strength in depth to become Champions of England again. Frank has always said that he would love to play abroad and now with Jose Mourinho going to Inter Milan, this could be his opportunity.
It may be a chance for him to become a better player with the opportunity of playing in the Italian League.
One player who I think could benefit from Franks departure is Michael Ballack. He could become Chelsea's new general, with the freedom to boss the midfield. Especially last season, when Michael was in the team and Frank absent, Ballack has been superb and given the freedom to play.
Frank will always be a true to blue to all Chelsea fans, but maybe its time for us to bid a fond farewell to "Super Frank" Lampard.
