OMG!!! That was an awesome race, all 6hrs of it..Congrats to McMurray..but it was Jr that stole the spotlight...being a lil aggressive is ok Jr, maybe its the way to go!!! Last year it was the other Hendrix boys that finished in the top 10, but not this year, well at least not at Daytona..it was the #88 that debuted from the bottom of the top 10 to the #2 spot.."Where DID he come from?",was the question everyone was asking and tweeting last night, but it don't matter, its where he ended up..the #2 spot!!! He may not have been in the Winners Circle last night, but he's well on his way. Everybody always comparing him to his dad, he is "NOT" his dad, but he "IS" his dad's son..with that being said, lookout Dale nation, Jr is back with vengeance!!!
Just 24hrs prior to Jr. nearly winning the Daytona 500, he was involved in a jaw dropping accident which caused the #88 car to flip numerous times, I was on the edge of my seat in sheer awe. My heart was racing, the room got quiet, but once the dust settled and Jr. got out of his car unharmed, I was ok again. Unfortune for him, JR Motorsports had another car damaged in that race as well, the #7 car driven by newcomer Danica Patrick, she too was also unharmed. Best wishes to JR Motorsports, I can't wait to see the outcome of Danica's union with the team and what lies ahead for Jr. and the #88 Amp/National Guard team and crew cheif Lance McGrew.
