2010 Winter Olympics TV Schedule: What to Watch on Feb. 15
Following a weekend of thrilling finishes in the Men's Nordic Combined and the Women's and Men's Moguls, the first full weekday worth's of events kick off. Monday's schedule is headlined by Men's Alpine Downhill and the finals of the Figure Skating Pairs program.
However, perhaps nothing will garner more attention than the afternoon-long runs in the Men's Snowboard Cross.
Off from work for President's Day or trying to stream the action online? Here is the slate of action and when you need to tune in.
Cross-Country Skiing - Ladies' 10 km Free
After a thrilling finish to yesterday's Men's 10-kilometer Sprint in the Nordic Combined, the women take their turn in the Cross Country 10-kilometer Freestyle race. The event is the first of the day, and the first medal event of the day, set to begin to at 10 a.m. local time.
Alpine Skiing - Men's Downhill
In what will undoubtedly be the first headline of the day, Bode Miller takes to the mountain in Men's Downhill. After days of delays on the mountain, this medal run in the Men's Downhill will be the first alpine skiing event held so far. It is set to start at 10:30 a.m. local time.
Snowboard - Men's Snowboard Cross
A very busy day of Men's Snowboard Cross gets underway at 10:30 a.m. local time. The qualifying race will start at 10:30 a.m. local time with successive runs later in the afternoon.
The 1/8 finals will take place at 2 p.m. local time and set in motion the final four rounds which will all occur in roughly 90 minutes time. The gold medal run, which will hopefully feature American favorite Nate Holland, will start at approximately 2:50 p.m. local time.
Cross-Country Skiing - Men's 15 km Free
On the heels of the Women's 10-kilometer Cross Country medal run comes the Men's 15-kilometer Cross Country run. The medal run will start at 12:30 p.m. local time.
Ice Hockey - Women's Preliminary Round - Group A Game Five
Team Canada's women's team returns to the ice following their 18-0 demolition of Slovakia in their first preliminary game. Expect another one-sided effort when Team Canada takes on Switzerland at 2:30 p.m. local time.
Speed Skating - Men's 500-meters
Shani Davis takes to the ice in the 14th of 20 pairings in first heat of the Men's 500-meter Speed Skating at 3:30 p.m. local time. The medal run, the second of two heats, will go off at around 5:30 p.m. local time.
Figure Skating - Pairs Free Skating
The Chinese pair of Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao led after last night's Pairs Short Program. The duo, and pairs favorite, goes for the medal tonight at 5 p.m. local time.
Luge - Women's Singles Runs One and Two
Germany will attempt to make it a clean sweep in Singles Luge, but first the Women's Singles Luge must go through the first two-of-four runs. The first run starts at 5 p.m. local time, with the second run set to begin approximately two hours later.
German Tatjana Hufner is the event's favorite. American Erin Hamlin should be in contention for a medal after taking gold at the 2009 World Cup and simultaneously breaking a German winning streak of 99 races.
Ice Hockey - Women's Preliminary Round - Group A Game Six
The day's events wrap up when Slovakia returns to the ice to take on 2006 silver medalist Sweden at 7 p.m. local time. Sweden comes off their Olympic-opening 3-0 victory over Switzerland.
