Being that it's black history month I decided to take a look at the best black wrestlers of all time.
There has been alot of talented black wrestlers over the years and I tried to cut it down to only five, I had to leave some great wrestlers out so; try no to get to upset after reading this.
I made a honorable mention page afterwards so chances are if the guy your thinking of isn't in the list he's probably there.
5. Shelton Benjamin
One of the most gifted athletes in the wwe, if not the most gifted. 3 time intercontinental champion, 1 time united states champion, and a 2 tag team champion.
Shelton is one of the most under used superstars on wwe roster.
He has some work to do on the mic skills, but overall he's still deserving of a push.
4. Tony Atlas
Tony Atlas or "Mr. USA" recently has been the sidekick for Abraham Washington and before him Mark Henry.
But before all that he was actually a great wrestler. Winning numerous championships in many different promotions.
In 2006 Atlas was inducted into the wwe hall of fame.
3. Ron Simmons
Ron Simmons or Farooq as he was know in the wwe/f was prodominently in the tag team division with his partner Bradshaw (APA) winning the tag team championship 3 times
WCW is where he found his singles success winning the world heavyweight championship one time. He had also won the U.S. tag team championship, and the world tag team championship. (one time each.)
Later in his career he coined his catch pharse Damn.
2. Booker T
What's to say about Booker T, he's a potential hall of famer, his accolades include, sixteenth triple crown champion, eigth grand slam champion, king of the ring, he's a five time wcw champion, and a one time wwe world heavyweight champion.
He was apart of some great tag teams, Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray 10x, RVD 1x, Goldust 1x, and Test 1x)
By the way he isn't that bad on the mic either.
1. The Rock
The most electrifying man in sports entertainment. I know he's only half but I'm still going to count him, obviously.
A 7 time wwe champion, sixth triple crown champion, 2000 royal rumble winner, etc.
He has had some of the most memorable promos in wwe history, and many memorable moments. A no doubt hall of famer.
Let's hope someday he returns to the wwe, so we can be electrified by the peoples champ again.
Honorable Mention
D'Lo Brown
Mark Henry
2 Cold Scorpio
R-Truth
D-von Dudley
Bobby Lashley
Abdullah the Butcher
Junk Yard Dog
Ahmed Johnson
Godfather
