Barry Bonds 662 Homerun Ball That I Retrieved and Still Have

Noe TorresContributor IFebruary 14, 2010

Considered the 3rd greatest home run Barry Bonds ever hit on 4/16/04 (according to the website http://giantspointofview.blogspot.com/2007/07/my-favorite-barry-bonds-home-runs.html) - vs. Dodgers - off Eric Gagne - #662

Gagne had come off one of the most dominant relief seasons in the history of baseball, and he hadn't allowed a run in 2004. Bonds was in the middle of the greatest offensive run in the history of baseball, and he came into the game hitting .440. Immovable object and irresistible force. The Dodgers had a three-run lead when Bonds came up with a runner on base. Bonds couldn't tie the game, so everyone in the park knew it was going to be a showdown. Bonds won one of the best battles ever between two players who were each in the middle of a legendary peak. This was the ball that a young man, me, Noe Torres, from Martinez, California became part of history and retrieved Barry Bonds Home run Ball #662. It was one of the most awesome days of my life and I still get tingles remembering that day. Check out the pictures of the ball that I will also post on my facebook website.
