2010 NFL Mock Draft: Carolina Panthers Edition

The Carolina Panthers currently own the 16th pick in the second round, 14th pick in the third round, 14th pick in the fourth round, sixth pick in the sixth round and 16th pick in the seventh round.
Carolina's needs are quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, defensive end, defensive tackle, and linebacker.
With Carolina's quarterback status up in the air, there could be nice prospects available at that 16th spot in the second round.
Here's my projection of the Carolina Panthers NFL Draft.
Second Round (16): Mardy Gilyard, WR, Cincinatti.
Mardy Gilyard has a great Senior Bowl, and is a perfect fit for Carolina.
Unlike Dwayne Jarrett, the Panthers former second round receiver selected, Gilyard has great speed and knows the game. He'd give Carolina another playmaker on offense besides Steve Smith, who is asking the team to add another speedy receiver opposite side of him.
Gilyard posted 204 catches, 3,003 yards and 25 touchdowns in his three years with Cincinnati.
He's had back-to-back 1,000 yard, eleven touchdown seasons.
Third Round (14): Jevan Snead, QB, Ole Miss.
Carolina needs a quarterback. Matt Moore played very well towards the end of the season, and he could be this team's quarterback of the future.
Jake Delhomme has lost it, and it's time to move on.
Moving on starts with drafting a new quarterback. That quarterback is Jevan Snead, who has great height at 6'6", and a great arm, posting 5,765 yards and 48 touchdowns in his three year career at Mississippi.
Fourth Round (14): Riley Cooper, WR, Florida.
I love this kid. The receiver out of Florida was Tim Tebow's favorite receiver, as he posted 51 catches, 961 yards, and nine touchdowns during his senior year.
He reminds me a lot of Wes Welker, only taller. At 6'3", Cooper has great hands and pretty good speed. He's perfect for a slot receiver, and could end up being a steal in this draft.
Sixth Round (6): Andrew Quarless, TE, Penn State.
Andrew Quarless had a great Senior Bowl, and that helped his stock.
He posted 41 catches, 536 yards and three touchdowns in his senior season at Penn State.
His 6'4" frame will help him compete with Dante Rosario as the starting tight end.
Seventh Round (16): Clifton Geathers, DE, South Carolina.
Geathers has huge frame at 6'8", and his brother, Robert Geathers, plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. He's got the name and size, but can he produce at the NFL level?
If he can, this could be a huge steal, and would make every Panthers fan forget who Julius Peppers even was.
