Six Pack: Randolph and Lincecum Get their Dues... Kardashian- Bush
Just finished watching the NBA Rookie- Sophomore game. Very impressed wit hTyreke Evans, DeJuan Blair, and Russell Westbrook! Some talented youngsters in the NBA! Not star quality, but talented. Have a wedding later today, and would like to congratulate Tom and Kelly as they prepare to embark on a new chapter in their lives. Anyway enough with the sappiness from T- Money. Let's talk sports people!
1) Was reading some articles today about some snubs for the NBA All- Star Game, including this well written one at Bleacher Report. I agree that both Boozer, and Josh Smith were snubbed but that is the machine that the 12 team rosters cause. After looking over some stats, I am pleased to see Zach Randolph finally get his due. In his ninth NBA season, he has earned the right to play in Sunday's all- star game. A well earned spot in this exhibition. He has averaged a double double five times throughout his career, including this season. Randolph, however, has been under the spotlight due to playing with sub par teams such as the Blazers, Knicks, Clippers, and now the Grizzlies. Congratulations Zach, this was well earned!
2) A few days ago I discussed the immaturity of the Bengals by the thought of signing one Pacman Jones to add to the already infamous stereotype that the Cincinnati club as acquired. Well, they may not have signed Pacman, yet, but they have added to their troubles by signing former Jagaurs wide receiver Matt Jones. We may all recall Matt Jones being arrested a few years back for cutting up cocaine on the dash board of his car, with his credit card, only to have his father preach that it was not him. Anyway, just more baggage that the Bengals did not deserve. PR department should be going on strike at some point. I wonder if they get bonuses everytime the team signs a troubled soul from the NL pits of hell?
3) San Francisco and Tim Lincecum have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a two year, 23 million dollar contract. I am happy to see Lincecum get a good deal, that will only rise in the near future. Two solid years, two Cy Young awards, and a heck of a future to follow. Just wait until Lincecum is in his prime, there is a good shot he will have the largest contract in baseball history by the time he is done. Did you just hear that? Oh, that is the sound of the Steinbrenner vault opening up to make a decent offer Lincecum's way in a few years.
4) How raged much you think Joey Porter is at the moment? How could you want to play for a team who tried to release you, only to have it rejected due to salary cap issues. Now, Porter still finds himself a Miami Dolphin. I am sure the technical points on this yet.... I will find them out... but I guarantee... this will not be pretty!
5) In continuing with my 90's vs. 2000's thoughts... how fun was it to be a sports fan in the 90s. No worries about MLB sluggers being on steroids, you just enjoyed Brady Anderson and Jay Buhner hitting fifty home runs a year. No thoughts on fishing officiating, you just thought Tim Donaghy so something we did not on that foul call. No thoughts at watching a quarterback get hit because he was playing a contact sport which he chose to do for a living and got paid pretty well for it. Now, you drip sweat on Peyton Manning and you draw a fifteen yard penalty. Things were different in the 90s, that is for sure my friends. I will be continuing this through out the month of February. What are your thoughts on the differences betwen the 90s and 2000s?
6) Glad to hear that Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian are finally engaged to get married. I hope Reggie makes the right decision hear though. I am not hoping to hear that Ms. Kardashian makes off with Bush's money in a few years. I am a Bush fan, and a bigger Kardashian fan, and hope all works out. TMZ was wondering already why Ms. Kardashian has not been rocking any bling yet?? I have a feeling when she finally gets it, that that rock will be humongous.

Party Foul:
The Self Promoter... Their is plenty of room for self promotion, and definitely a time and a place. However, when you are a party and you know all of two people in the room, self promotion is mistaken for cockiness and concededness. Learn your enviroment before claiming to be "God's Gift" before you make the wrong impression and find someones knuckles up your nostril!
