It's been said that he is to skinny, needs to hit the weight room, can't lead a team, horrible defensive player, and will never win a playoff game.

These are all the things that all the critics have said about Kevin Durant, and you know what? Say what you want to say, but Kevin Durant is on a tear this season for the Oklahoma City Thunder i mean just check his stats: 29.7ppg, 7.4rpg, along with 1.4 spg.. So if you were to ask me i would say that those are some pretty solid numbers for a player who is only in his third season of the NBA.

When you think of Kevin Durant you think about the dominating collegiate season he had as a freshman at the University of Texas where took every major college award known to man in his only season of college basketball. Durant is a basketball player no doubt about it the guy can flat out score the basketball. As a freshman he averaged almost 26ppg and 11rpg which is just amazing for a kid out of the D.C. area, and it doesnt stop there Durant was taking the nation by storm with his silky smooth moves and terrific outside shot for a guy that's almost 7ft tall.

After taking Texas to the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and getting exited in the first round by USC, Durant felt that he had nothing else to prove on the collegiate level, and decided to take his talents to the NBA where he became the 2nd overall pick by the Seattle Supersonics who later relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder.

Durant has become a rising star the past 2 seasons for the Thunder where he has taken his game to a whole level of success, and with Durant being the leader for the Thunder he has taken that as a challenge and it has shown this season with a 30-21 record so far this season along to go with a streak of 25 games where he has scored 25 or more which is outstanding for a team that only won 23 games total last season, and Durant's 29.7ppg is second behind Lebron James who leads the league in scoring with 29.9ppg so Durant is not to far behind the reigning MVP..

And also for a great season that Durant is having this season he was awarded his first all star selection by the coaches to represent the Western Conference in the 2010 NBA All Star game being held in Dallas, TX.. So if you ask me Durant is already a superstar who has his team in a position to reach the post season and show the world that he is as good as advertised. When you say Kevin Durant's name know you think of other stars such as Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Chris Paul, and now you say Kevin Durant because he is playing at an elite level on the basketball court, and yes he is definetly a top 5 player in the league, and yes he is that damn good!!
