ECW and WWE NXT Roster: Part 2
As we all know, ECW is coming to an end. In the first installment of this slide show I addressed the ECW roster and what their future will be in the WWE, check it out, http://bleacherreport.com/articles/342046-the-nxt-and-ecw-roster-part-one.
In this article, I will attempt to figure out what the new WWE NXT roster will be.
He's the brother of Ted Dibiase and the son of the Million Dollar Man, nuff said.
Okay in all seriousness now, Brett has been on tv before when he interfered in a match with Randy Orton and John Cena.
Currently he is the FCW tag team champion with Joe Hennig and looks impressive for an FCW talent.
Joe Hennig is one half of the FCW Tag Team Championship with Brett DiBiase and makes up the "Fortunate Sons."
His father was Mr. Perfect and he is also a one-time FCW Heavy Weight Champion.
Another accolade this man has is that he was named Rookie of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2008.
Though one downside is that he is a bit old for a developmental territory wrestler at age 30.
I have already talked about Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta in my prevoius article. What I didn't say in the article is that Curt Hawkens is part of the Dudebusters in FCW and should partner up with them in WWE NXT.
An amazing athlete and extremely talented wrestler, Justin Angel matches are a sight to see. This South African wrestler has it all and is even the current FCW champion.
His only flaw is the mic work, which is weak (at best). Expect Justin Angel to either be part of a tag team or have a manager. Either way Justin Angel is going to be a great addition to the WWE.
Heath Slater has been in WWE for a while now. Heath has been in multiple house shows and dark matches.
Expect him to appear on WWE NXT as a heel using his current cowboy gimmick.
For those of you don't know Kaval you probably know him as Low Ki and his amazing matches in Ring of Honor.
Kaval has been in FCW and his expect to be moved up anytime. This man is someone everyone should look out for. Check out his match against Bryan Danielson.
(It starts at 4:22 so skip the FCW divas and watch a great match)
Kung Fu Naki
A cruiser weight if there ever was one. Also a former cruiser weight champion. Apparently he is still signed with the WWE and they don't have anything better for him to do then be a jobber.
I believe he will appear on NXT at some point or another.
Slam Master J
Another light weight jobber who has nothing to do due anymore after a horrible run as Slam Master J.
The writers have nothing for him to do. He has ability but no gold. Expect him to pop up soon.
Jimmy Wang Yang
A great wrestler who has been even more under utilized than Shelton Benjamin. I have enjoyed his matches and I hope to see him team up with Kaval.
Primo is a great high flyer who has had very little to do in the WWE besides being a jobber(since when did jobbers get awesome pyro?).
The WWE writing staff has really dropped the ball with him and Carlito after they lost the Unified Tag Team Championships.
Hopefully, moving to NXT will give this young wrestler longer, more developed matches that help improve his stock.
Even with high praise from Triple H and The Miz, Evan Bourne has not been able to get any gold.
Evan Bourne is one of the best wrestlers in the WWE and he needs to get the higher ups to give him a push. Hopefully, NXT will give him a chance to shine like he did in ECW.
The American Dragon: Bryan Danielson
This man is a living legend outside of the WWE. Bryan Danielson has had instant classics in his matches at ROH and PWG.
Danielson was going to be pushed to one of the brands immediately after his signing but he choose to fulfill his commitments with ROH before leaving.
Also he asked to go to FCW to shake off some of the ring rust before going on TV. Expect great things from this man.
Thats All, Folks
Hopefully you have enjoyed this slide show. I expect NXT to be full of WWE cruiser weights that need more time to get to the next level and for there to be great indy wrestlers that shall make a huge splash in the WWE. Please leave feedback and comments below.
