Here comes the offseason! So many things the Skins need to do including deciding the new Quarterback. With Mike Shanahan becoming Redskins new coach, a new era begins. And I know its going to be a good one with a great head coach. Shanahan has so many things to do, and I am previewing one of the many things -- the quarterback position. So who will be the next quarterback for the Redskins? Well, they have 4 choices...
Todd Collins
Maybe Shanahan would want a veteran qb to lead the redskins before a rookie takes the reigns. But I think this will be the least likely choice as Collins is turning 39 and could be replaced mid-season if he were starter.
Colt Brennan
Brennan is a choice many fans want to see starting on the field. I think he has had enough time on the sidelines and should be given a chance. If they don't start Collins and don't draft a qb in the draft, then Brennan could start.
Re-sign Jason Campbell
Jason Campbell showed enough promise to be re-signed again with an extremely porous offensive line. If re-signed though, all three qb's should compete for starter.
Draft a Quarterback
Some choices are Jimmy Clausen, Sam Bradford, Dan Lefevour, Colt Mccoy, and more. But we shouldn't take a chance in the first round. Maybe if Shanahan wants to draft a qb, it would be in the later rounds. He was known for a great O-Line in Denver, and he would want one here too.
