University of North Carolina freshman forward Travis Wear is out indefinitely with an ankle sprain sustained in practice on Tuesday.

Wear, a 6'10" forward injured his ankle when he landed on a teammate's foot while attempting to grab a rebound at practice.

Although X-rays came back negative for any bone breaks, his ankle will be wrapped and he will remain on crutches until further notice.

Wear will miss the Duke-North Carolina rivalry game slated to be played later tonight.

Playing off the bench, Wear has averaged five points and four rebounds. He is the only frontcourt player this year to play off the bench since Tyler Zeller received a stress fracture in his foot last month.
