Tonight UNC will be playing Duke for the battle of Tobacco Road. But sadly this game isn't as big as it should be. In recent years this battle was for the ACC Championship, this battle was the supreme matchup next to the NCAA Championship, this battle had the blood, sweat, and passion of a great rivalry. But not this year. UNC is coming in on one of their worst seasons ever with a record of 13-10 overall, 2-6 in ACC, and placed 10th in the ACC. Right now it appears that if UNC doesn't win the ACC then they won't be in the NCAA Tournament. Duke on the other hand is playing up to their expectations with a record of 19-4 overall, 7-2 in ACC, and placed 1st in the ACC. With the recent blowout loss to unranked Maryland, this game is looking to be another loss tonight. Duke should easily manhandle their opponent with their maturity and discipline and take back control of this rivalry.
