Playing eight games in a row is rough for any hockey team. The Chicago Black hawks continue their great season with a five and three record during their last road trip. They won an excellent road overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks. That was the most memorable of all the games. They also had a memorable trip in Vancouver losing a tough game to a strong team. The local media seemed more concerned with some photographs of Black hawk players in a limousine than their great road trip.
Unfortunately , the Hawks ended the road trip losing to the Carolina Hurricanes in a place they always have a tough time wining. Still this road trip proves the Chicago Black Hawks are among the elite teams in the NHL. They went head to head with some of the other teams who are considered the leagues elite teams. It is always difficult to go and play in Western Canada. The only thing that worries me about this team is how often the other goalies outperform our goalies. In many of the defeats this season, the Chicago Black Hawks out shoot the opponents so much yet still lose.
A hockey team that can go on the road and be successful is one that can go far in the playoffs. I wasn't sure how good this hockey team and waited until this road trip to see how they wild do. It appears that they are not a team that will be likely to go on a long losing streak. Their young stars are playing great and they defeated the Dallas Stars last night in another shootout. Patrick Kane is especially playing on fire with two goals last night. The season is going just as hawk fans had hoped this year.
