Mid-American Conference gets new logo

My thoughts on the MAC's new logo are mixed. Gone are the letters MAC with the racing stripes off the M and now we have...this. It looks like the logo for a soccer club, or for our foreign readers, futbol club. Is this a sign that the MAC will push soccer

My thoughts on the MAC's new logo are mixed. Gone are the letters MAC with the racing stripes off the M and now we have...this. It looks like the logo for a soccer club, or for our foreign readers, futbol club. Is this a sign that the MAC will push soccer more? Maybe this way Ball State women's soccer team will finally win.

According to the press release, the conference wanted to highlight the fact that the MAC has been around for 60+ plus years. And this was the best they could do.

At least they didn't just go ahead and write the letters "O-H-I-O" across it. But they might as well have.

That link will also give you a look at the seal mark, athletic mark and the type-only mark. I do not know what means what. But here's the athletic logo.
