It’s been an incredible few years for Alex Rodriguez, since coming to New York in 2004. He’s won two MVPs, been involved in a steroids controversy and won the 2009 World Championship. Yet despite having a seemingly full plate, A-Rod always seems to have plenty of time to entertain female companions.

With the latest news that he’s now courting the lovely Cameron Diaz, let’s take a look back through the many WAGs of Alex Rodriguez. Enjoy

Jessica Sekely (Canseco)

Jessica Sekely was a waitress at Hooters until the day a big-biceped, small-brained ballplayer by the name of Jose Canseco walked in and swept her off her feet, and into marriage. However, as quickly as the marriage came about, it disintegrated just as fast.

So what does this have to do with Rodriguez? Well Mr. Canseco believes that when he and A-Rod trained together in the late 1990s, Rodriguez was not only hitting on his wife, but engaging in an extra-marital affair too. While the accusations remain that—just accusations—who could blame the young Rodriguez?

More Sekely

In July 2005, long after her marriage with Canseco crumbled, and years after any affair with Rodriguez would have likely concluded, Sekely ended up in the June 2005 issue of Playboy. Again, I’m sure Canseco is a nice guy. But can you blame A-Rod for chasing that tail?

Even More Sekely

Sekely got the final revenge on her ex-husband releasing a book entitled “Juicy: Confessions of a Former Baseball Wife.” The title of course was a play on words regarding her ex-husband’s book, titled “Juiced.”

Alex Rodriguez, Married Man

In November 2002, just a year after becoming the richest athlete in American sports history, Rodriguez married the former Cynthia Scurtis. Mrs. Rodriguez bore two children with the Texas Rangers shortstop, although honestly, you’d probably never know it looking at those abs.

Trouble In Paradise

Believe it or not, being married to one of the best baseball players of his generation isn’t all peanuts and crackerjacks. Things hit the skids with the Rodriguez pair after several photographs revealed that Rodriguez might be straying from his wife. They separated in the summer of 2008.

The First “Other Woman”

The first woman who ever came forward and claimed to have seen A-Rod’s bat and balls during his marriage to Cynthia, was a former Boston stripper by the name of Candice Houlihan. She claimed that when Rodriguez was in town to play the Red Sex, I mean Sox (woops), the two would get together.

All of a sudden I understand why a Boston stripper would be wearing a Yankees hat!

Houlihan Speaks, Does Anybody Listen?

When Cynthia Rodriguez did finally divorce her husband, over a year after Houlihan’s first public interview, Houlihan said this about her formerly favorite Yankee: (Cynthia) did the right thing, a leopard doesn't change his stripes. Good for her. I think she's doing the smart thing. And she'll probably get tons of cash."

Another Stripper?

In the midst of his messy 2008 divorce, a “Who done it,” of epic proportions broke out, when another stripper, this one by the name of Joslyn Noel Morse was spotted gallivanting around Toronto with Rodriguez while the slugger was on a road trip in the Canadian city.

Morse was not only a local stripper, but had also worked for years in some of Las Vegas’ top clubs. Meaning much like Rodriguez, Morse was a wily veteran. No wonder she caught his eye.

The Arrival of the Material Girl

Maybe Rodriguez’s most infamous liaison was between he and the world’s most famous pop singer, Madonna.

The New York Daily News reported that in July 2008, Rodriguez was seen making late night visits to Madonna’s apartment, this despite the fact that Madonna herself was married to Guy Richie at the time.

Some wife she is!

Like A Virgin?

To this day, Rodriguez denies that he and Madonna were, and ever have been anything more than friends.

However, over time, she was seen in his visitor’s box at the old Yankee Stadium, partying with Rodriguez in the Big Apple, and eating dinner with the slugger in Santa Monica, California.

I’m sure Madonna takes part in these kinds of activities with all her friends.

Next Aboard The A-Rod Express? Alicia Marie

If you’re catching a trend, it’s that the summer of 2008 was one of A-Rod’s most successful seasons, at least off the field. In the midst of all the Madonna talk, a new name emerged, fitness model Alicia Marie.

She claimed that the two spent time alone in her apartment quite a bit that summer, which begs the question, besides A-Rod’s wife, who didn’t spend alone time with the slugger in the summer of 2008?

He Who Throws The First Stone

As we mentioned in the previous slide, Alicia Marie and Rodriguez spent quite a bit of time together in the summer of 2008. But it’s not what you think! Stop it, you sicko!

Nope, when Marie had Rodriguez over, she claimed it was just to lend a “sympathetic ear,” to the slugger, who was going through a divorce, and needed a shoulder to cry on.

And honestly, look at the girl. Doesn’t she just look like the type of wholesome, truth-telling girl that you’d want to talk to during your toughest times?

Kate the Great

The offseason heading into 2009 was one of the toughest of Rodriguez’s career.

Not only was it revealed in early 2009, that the previously squeaky clean (at least in terms of PEDs) slugger was involved in steroid use, but he was also in a major slump off the field. After hip surgery in spring training, Rodriguez limped (figuratively and literally) back into the Yankees lineup, with his tail between his legs.

Luckily for him, a stroke of luck came his way at just that time, when the lovely Kate Hudson fell into his lap. While the two never confirmed their relationship, Hudson was at Yankee Stadium for the better part of 2009, and even seen at some of Rodriguez’s road games as well.

Championship Rings and Wedding Bells?

Over the course of the 2009 season, with Hudson by his side, Rodriguez had one of his personal best seasons on the field. During the postseason he blew up, and in truly un-A-Rodian fashion, carried his team to a World Championship.

After the World Series, there were even rumors that the two might be engaged. But as Lee Corso likes to say, “Not so fast my friend.”

Championship ring or not, Alex Rodriguez doesn’t settle down with one woman. By December the two had officially split up for good.

The Sweetest Thing?

With A-Rod saying thank you and good-bye to the woman who was by his side during the 2009 championship, he says hello to his new sweet thing, Cameron Diaz.

The actress best known as the free-spirited “Mary,” and Rodriguez were seen dancing the night away during Super Bowl week in Miami.

Could It Be?

The 37-year-old Diaz is a serial dater, but could she and A-Rod be a match made in heaven?

Of course this wouldn’t be her first dalliance with a sports superstar, as we all know that in the movie “There’s Something About Mary,” she dated America’s favorite sports figure Brett Favre.

Which raises the question: With a championship trophy, and a new lady by his side, does this mean we should be expecting an Alex Rodriguez retirement press conference anytime soon?
