Breaking News

I recently saw a report that Jesse Taylor will fight CB Dollaway at UFC Fight Night 14.

This will be the return of Jesse Taylor after bring kicked out of the finals on the past season of The Ultimate Fighter after Taylor kicked out the window in a limousine and terrorizing guests at the Palace Station Casino.

Taylor was scheduled to fight Amir Sadollah for the six figure contract, but due to Taylor's removal from the show CB Dollaway faced Amir for a second time and was forced to tap to an arm bar in the first round.

The loss was the first of Dollaway's professional career.

Since leaving the show Jesse Taylor has stated that he realized he had a problem and cut alcohol out of his life and began attending Alcoholics Anonymous.

  1. Here you go Dorothy.

    1. Guess this proves people do not always get what they deserve or vice versa, deserve what they get.

  2. That is a good way to prove that MMA fighters aren't mouth-breathing meatheads right. I am really disappointed in this decision.

    1. It's still not on the UFC website let's keep our fingers crossed that this was just a rumor

  3. What I recall Dana saying is "Jesse you're out of the finals". This was no small punishment. Dana said call him in a couple of months and we'll see if we can work something out. Sometimes taking away something you love makes you realize how important and life changing it can be to realize you need to make some changes in your life. He had a taste of his dream and I'm sure he'll make the proper sacrifices to live his dream again. It reminds me of the "Scared Straight" programs. They do work. He's being given another chance. It's up to him what he does with it. Why are you guys hating on Jesse?

  4. Hating Jesse and detesting an alcoholic's behavior are not the same thing. Alcoholics deny that they have a problem, they are very manipulative, and seldom change in a period of a few months.

    1. It's a matter of having an opportunity of his life and just throwing it away...Now just because he turned things around he should have to earn it again. If he does start over again then good for him, but just giving him the slap on the hand and saying you can't fight on this card, but you can fight later and get yourself noticed.

  5. The whole idea here is that he's trying to take alcohol out of his life Dorothy. I find it despicable that you wish bad things for other people; that you don't want him to get a second chance. Who's it going to hurt if Jesse gets another chance? And just because someone is an alcoholic doesn't mean they're not a person. Sigh...

    1. She wasn't saying that he wasn't a person, but he proved that he isn't the type of person that can act like a professional. He's a dangerous person when he's drunk...He was getting out of hand with women and was in the mindset that he could do what he wanted because he was a "UFC fighter", so you are in the belief that he can do what he wants to who he wants and just say it's because he was drunk and all should be forgiven...what happens if he rapes a girl??? I guess it will be ok because he is drunk.

    2. Robert, when you are my age and have a lot more experience in life we can talk about this again. Apparently you do not have any alcoholics in your family; that is very fortunate for you. Others have not been so lucky. Alcoholism touches many lives and I have yet to meet anyone who is grateful for it.

      others are not so lucky

  6. Dorothy I undoubtedly have more experience with alcoholics than you do. Stop pretending you know me, and stop playing the "I'm older and wiser" card. I knew this would be exactly how you would approach this as soon as I posted that anyways, though.

The fact is that he's trying to change his life, Dana trusts him, and he's getting a second chance. He made a (prolonged) mistake. I think it's great that he's getting an opportunity like this. You should stop being such a cynic and try to be happy for people.
