Emmitt Smith Rushes His Way To The Hall Of Fame

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - FEBRUARY 06: Emmitt Smith speaks on stage after he was announced as one of the newest enhrinees into the Hall of Fame during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2010 Press Conference held at the Greater Ft.     Everybody knew that the day would come when Emmitt Smith would end up in the Hall Of Fame. Smith has three super bowl rings and is also regarded as one of the best running backs of all time. His violent running distinguished him from any man whom has played the position. The member of the class of 2010 was able to win three Super Bowl championships three of them being back to back.

Smith was able to gain over 1,000 rushing yards in five consecutive seasons which is no small feat. Another one of his proudest acheivements was winning a Super Bowl MVP which is hardly won by a running back. The thing that makes Smith truly remarkable is that despite his small stature he was a able to play at a unheard of level. One could argue that Smith opened the door up for smaller running backs that we currently see playing. He was a perfect combination of speed and strength.

This Hall of Fame the Dallas Cowboys have a lot to be proud of. Smith remains a very popular Dallas Cowboy due to the way that his jerseys still sell remarkably well. He changed the dynamics of the game and earned the heart of a city in doing so. It is true that he played for the Arizona Cardinals but he will always be remembered as a Dallas Cowboy.
