Utah looks to be testing the market again with Carlos Boozer.

Last season, the Jazz entertained offers on their All-Star power forward. Now that the trade deadline is looming, Utah is exploring what they can get for Boozer's expiring contract.

After verbally agreed to sign an extension with Cleveland in 2004 if the Cavs agreed to release him from his current deal. Boozer opted to ink a much larger contract with the Jazz that Cleveland was unable to match.

Trying to avoid getting the short end of the stick this time around, Utah is weighing all options.

Making the decision to move Boozer easier, PF Paul Millsap has proven to me a more than adequate replacement.

Millsap filled in for an injured Boozer last season and started 38 games. Over the season, Millsap averaged 13.5 ppg and 8.6 rpg in about 30 minutes a night.

What's more is that Andrei Kirilenko has come on of late, providing more than ample production at PF and SF. In his last seven games, all wins, AK47 has averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks a game.

All this makes Carlos Boozer an expendable commodity as Utah eyes a postseason run. Here are some potential suitors for Boozer.

Philadelphia 76ers

87106354

Possible Trade: Andre Iguodala for Carlos Boozer

Utah Take: Iguodala could be the missing piece for the Jazz, providing an athletic guard to compliment Deron Williams. Iggy gives the Jazz an extra dimension to an already dynamic roster.

Philadelphia Take: Philly is not excited about moving Iguodala, but in the interest of rebuilding, is willing to listen to offers that would give them some cap room next year. Boozer might be able to improve the Sixers' scoring in the meantime.

Advantage: Utah Jazz

Detroit Pistons

86147555

Possible Trade: Tayshaun Prince and Kwame Brown for Carlos Boozer and Ronnie Price

Utah Take: Prince provides a lengthy defender who can prove valuable in the postseason. Utah will need a player like Prince to stick on the Kobe's and Carmelo's of the league. Brown provides more better depth in the frontcourt, despite never living up to his potential.

Detroit Take: The Pistons would love to get this deal done as they have coveted Boozer for a while. Detroit is in rebuild mode and is ready to move on from their championship lineup of old. They would love to move the Prince contract, allowing them to sign Boozer or another big name free agent.

Advantage: Detroit Pistons

Miami Heat

93204786

Possible Trade: Michael Beasley and Quentin Richardson for Carlos Boozer

Utah Take: Utah brings in two new scoring options for the price of one. Beasley may need a different situation to bring out the best in his game. Richardson has proven that he can still knock down shots.

Miami Take: Boozer has made it no secret that he would love to play for the Heat. If Miami can work out a deal, they will be giving Dwyane Wade a reliable option to take some of the scoring load off of his shoulders.

Either way, it will give Miami more options moving forward, delivering more cap relief or a bonafide star at PF.

Advantage: Utah Jazz

Orlando Magic

94485653

Possible Trade: Mickael Pietrus, Marcin Gortat, and Brandon Bass for Carlos Boozer and Kosta Koufos

Utah Take: Mickael Pietrus would give the Jazz a high-energy guy who hustles on both ends of the floor. Gortat could cut into Mehmet Okur's minutes, giving him the expanded role he is looking for. Brandon Bass provides depth up front.

Orlando Take: Boozer could slide right into the PF spot and allow Rashard Lewis to play SF. That could mean Matt Barnes clocking some time at SG giving other teams serious matchup problems. This is what got Orlando into the NBA Finals last season.

Advantage: Orlando Magic

Chicago Bulls

96149055

Possible Trade: Tyrus Thomas and Kirk Hinrich for Carlos Boozer and Ronnie Brewer

Utah Take: Tyrus Thomas would give Utah an athletic defender that has the ability to score in bunches. Thomas has battled injuries and never lived up to his enormous potential. Maybe a change of scenery would spark a change.

Kirk Hinrich could provide some veteran leadership in the backcourt and, if he gets his shot back, some scoring.

Chicago Take: Boozer would give the Bulls a much needed boost in scoring. Chicago has lacked a reliable scoring weapon since letting Ben Gordon go to Detroit. Boozer and Derrick Rose could become a threatening duo in postseason play.

Both Boozer and Brewer have expiring deals, giving Chicago cap room to potentially go after LeBron James and Chris Bosh in the offseason.

Advantage: Chicago Bulls

Charlotte Bobcats

95733884

Possible Trade: Boris Diaw and DJ Augustin for Carlos Boozer

Utah Take: Boris Diaw is not a prolific of a scorer as Boozer, but makes up for it with solid defensive play.

Augustin makes a solid backup for Deron Williams and could even play a small two for periods. Both players will be with the team for another season and work with the team philosophy.

Charlotte Take: Charlotte is trying to make some noise in the East and Larry Brown wants the team management to give him players he can win with.

The Bobcats would be very tough to stop with Stephen Jackson, Gerald Wallace, and Carlos Boozer on the floor. If he moves on next year, the 'Cats have room to make more additions.

Advantage: Tie

New York Knicks

95983830

Possible Trade: David Lee, Jared Jeffries, and Toney Douglas for Carlos Boozer and Kosta Koufos

Utah Take: David Lee is a very talented big man that can play the four or the five, giving Utah more options.

Jeffries is an underrated defender that could improve the frontcourt. Douglas is a young PG who could develop as an efficient backup for Deron Williams.

New York Take: New York would welcome Boozer into their fast paced scoring attack and provide a spark for Knicks fans.

Even if the Knicks don't keep Boozer around next season, they will have freed themselves up for some cap room that could help them land LeBron and/or another marquee star next summer.

Advantage: Tie

Indiana Pacers

92638969

Possible Trade: Troy Murphy and Josh McRoberts for Carlos Boozer

Utah Take: Murphy gives Utah a solid frontcourt guy that plays defense and scores points. His contract would allow them to keep him for another season.

McRoberts provided some production in late December and early January when he accumulated some playing time. He could be a decent bench guy for Utah going forward.

Indiana Take: Indiana can relieve themselves of the Murphy contract and allow themselves some flexibility heading into 2010-11. Boozer won't put the Pacers in the finals and most likely wouldn't want to resign with them, but his value come in financial freedom.

Advantage: Utah Jazz

Houston Rockets

84560467

Possible Trade: Tracy McGrady and Chase Budinger for Carlos Boozer, Kyle Korver, and C.J. Miles

Utah Take: T-Mac could give the Jazz a sharp shooting wing player if he proves to be healthy. If the experiment doesn't work, the Jazz will have room to make a move in the offseason and haven't lost too much.

Budinger is developing into a very reliable player in his rookie year and has a considerably light contract. Utah might need a first round pick to make this deal.

Houston Take: The Rockets are reluctant to add Boozer's scoring without much defensive help. The team is already deep at PF with Luis Scola and Carl Landry performing at a high level.

Miles and Korver would help Houston's shooting and depth.

Advantage: Houston Rockets

Phoenix Suns

96243941

Possible Trade: Amar'e Stoudemire and Earl Clark for Carlos Boozer and Kyle Korver

Utah Take: Stoudemire adds some size and is able to help at the five spot. Utah might be worried that Amar'e is a product of Steve Nash's skill and would not work as well with Deron Williams. Clark has not panned out well for Phoenix and might be better suited to play in another system.

Phoenix Take: Boozer can generate offense and would be upgraded alongside Nash. Korver wold benefit even more from the open looks on the perimeter.

I'm not sure the Suns would want to acquire another expiring deal that they would be even less likely to re-sign.

Advantage: Utah Jazz
