Many players whom have ever played the wide reciever position have looked up to Michael Irvin. His playmaking ability was extraordinary during his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys. Irvin won three Super Bowl rings with the Cowboys and with the exception of Jerry Rice was regarded as the best Wide Reciever during the 90's.

Irvin's playmaking ability was always his strength but it was his antics off the field that proved to be his greatest weakness. Irvin simply seemed incapable of staying away from trouble off the field. It should be noted that asides from being arrested for substance abuse Irvin has been cleared of a past sexuall assault allegation. The inescapable truth for Irvin was that his reputation was constantly being questioned.

On the field Michael Irvin performed at a level rarely seen in the NFL. He made it to the pro bowl on more than one occassion and also solidified his carrer by being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Despite all of these accomplishments and a outstanding carrer as a personality on the NFL Network Irvin has still not been able to live a life without controversy.

The latest problem to happen to Irvin concerns another accusation of sexual assault. The only thing known at this current moment is that a woman has claimed that Irvin raped her while she was at the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. The incident according to ESPN. com is said to have happend in 2007. Irvin at the moment is denying the allegation and has not faced any penalities by his current employer the NFL Network.
