This is my list of the most underrated players in professional basketball. My list is based on good players with good stats but also whose playing might not fit into a category.

Use the comments section to make a case for the most underrated player in the following slide show.

Remember, part of the game is to prove why other people's choices don't match up to yours. Be sure to return and defend your selection to other Bleacher Report fans.

4. J.J. Redick- Orlando Magic

95819381

J.J. Redick made this list because he doesn't play that much (I don't know why) but when he does, he is great. He averages 10 points per game which isn't much, but he can also pass the ball.

Last year, Coach Stan Van Gundy said J.J. had to work on his defense. He did and keeps up with guards like Ray Allen. As his minutes increase, so do his points.

3. Corey Maggette- Golden State Warriors

96222214

Now you may think I am just picking Duke players, but don't worry I'm not. Corey Maggette is shooting 54 percent from the field and averaging over 20 PPG. In his last five games, he's scored an average of over 30 points.

2. Luol Deng- Chicago Bulls

96148850

Luol Deng does not get enough credit.

His offensive abilities have been well publicized, yet little has been heard of him this season as he puts up a career high 17.7 PPG.

This month, he has averaged over 20 PPG in his last five games while playing with a fractured thumb. That is not easy

1. Rajon Rondo- Boston Celtics

96365763

Rajon Rondo is pretty well- known, but he gets drowned out by all the buzz about other players. Rondo averages 14 points per game and 10 assists per game.

Rondo really knows how to drive to the basket.
