Today’s post is another short one. I wanted to point out this story ESPN’s Mark Saxon about a signing yesterday of Delaware quarterback David Sills committing to USC.

Oh, by the way—he’s 13 years old.

That’s right. It didn’t take brand new head coach Lane Kiffin long to start making waves. This story stinks like an Onion piece, especially in the lead where it mentions the kid already has a private quarterback coach.

What’s next? Raiding the playgrounds for the future Pro Bowl receiver climbing the monkey bars? Scouting the local arcade for a slugger who demonstrates great hand/eye coordination? Perhaps going to a tap dance recital will reveal the NBA’s next Wilt Chamberlain at age seven.

I’m so glad I don’t have a job recruiting, because I would never be able to keep up with these guys. All I have to do is worry about churning out good posts on here.
