Minaya Should Do Everything In His Power & Trade For Adrian Gonzalez.

It's quite simple. Amid speculation that The San Diego Padres will not be able to lock up their star first baseman to a long term contract, the Mets General Manager Omar Minaya should pull out all the stops to acquire the slick fielding, power hitting slugger. Think a package of Ike Davis, Daniel Murphy (as a second baseman), Mike Pelfrey, and Brad Holt is enough to get things done? How about adding a Bobby Parnell or a Fernando Martinez? Is this even enough? Am I insane? I am thinking 4-5 cheap players that SD can control for a cornerstone good fielding, power hitting, first baseman.
