British Number 1 Tim Henman had a very difficult 4th round encounter at Wimbledon in 2004 against Mark Philippoussis of Australia. Philippousis was a finalist the previous year but fell short to the world number 1Roger Federer7-6 6-2 7-6. Henman and Philippoussis also met in the 4th round of Wimbledon in 2000 and the Australian won the match in 5 sets. However this time around Henman raced through the 1st set 6-2 and he then edged out the 2nd set 7-5 to take a 2 sets to love lead. The Australian managed to hit back and win the 3rd set on a tiebreaker to send the match into a 4th set. The 4th set also went to a tiebreaker but this time Henman sealed it to claim a superb 6-2 7-5 6-7 7-6 victory. Henman however lost in straight sets in the next round to Mario Ancic of Croatia 7-6 6-4 6-2.
