For those of you who don't know what botch means it basically means to attempt a scripted move that does not come out as it was originally planned due to a mistake. This slide show shows what I personally think were the top 5 botches in WWE.
Now when I say WWE I mean after the name change in 2002, so any botch before that isn't in this article. Why? Because I started watching WWE four years ago so I don't know a lot about WWE's past.
I did link the video to every botch so you can witness it yourself, anyways enjoy the article and don't forget to leave a comment.

Chris Benoit Botches Suicide Dive
On the Nov. 25, 2005, edition of Smackdown, Chris Benoit and Booker T went one on one in a rematch to declare who was United States Champion.
Apparently during the match Chris Benoit launched himself out of the ring expecting to hit Booker T but completely misses and crashes violently into the announcers table.

Mark Henry messes up during Smackdown Taping
On Smackdown during a rematch between Batista and Mysterio vs MNM for the tag team championships in a steel cage match, Mark Henry was supposed to break the steel cage open and attack Batista, but that wasn't what happened.
Instead Henry attempted to break the lock for the steel cage the first time and failed. After minutes of attempting to break the lock he finally opened the cage and went straight to work on Batista.
Luckily it wasn't live so WWE could edit the botch before the people watching at home would find out about Henry's screw-up.

Hardy's ladder move causes Joey Mercury to get stitches
At Armageddon 2006, A fatal four way tag team ladder match took place. Like any extreme spot Jeff Hardy jumped off the top of the turnbuckle and hit both members of MNM in the face.
The only problem with this was that Mercury put his hand in front of his face which caused him to bust open. As a lot of blood was pouring, Mercury immediately went backstage to get stitches.
As you can see from the picture, it was completely brutal, Mercury had to wear a mask and started feuding with Jeff Hardy when he started accusing Hardy of his horrific injury.

The Undertaker botches dive at Wrestlemania 25
At Wrestlemania 25, The Undertaker and HBK had match of the year but the match would've been a forfeit because of this next botch.
The Undertaker attempted to hit Shawn Michaels with his dive but completely botched it and nearly broke his neck while doing so.
Luckily there was no serious injury caused by the botch and the two men continued their spectacular performance.

Brock Lesnar's Shooting Star Press
At Wrestlemania 19, Brock Lesnar faced Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship. Lesnar apparently performed a shooting star press on Kurt Angle which is usually performed by cruiser weights.
Brock went up on the turnbuckle to perform a shooting star press and completely botched it. Brock was seconds away from a life-threatening injury but only suffered a severe concussion.
Brock mentioned in several interviews that the botch did ruin his confidence a little bit and he realized that he could get seriously hurt which was one of the reasons he decided to leave WWE and try out for NFL.
