The Boston Bruins are in a tailspin. They have dropped eight straight and the end of the losing streak looks nowhere in sight.

With last night's loss to the Capitals the B's record fell to 23-22-9. They find themselves two points out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.

With the trade deadline fast approaching it's safe to say the Bruins need to make a move for somebody if they want to have a chance at making the playoffs and doing some damage once they get in.

It's likely the Bruins won't make five deals before the deadline passes but these are the guys that are most likely to be traded if anyone is at all.

As always feel free to leave your opinions down below.

Dennis Wideman

Man oh man what how one season can change a player.

Dennis Wideman went from being on the top D-pair last year to barely even hanging on to his spot on the roster.

Wideman had arguably his best year ever last year with 13 goals and 37 assists to go along with a +32. He was paired with Zdeno Chara on the top D line for most of the year and had the second most time on ice aside from Chara.

This year he has done just about nothing. He has just three goals and 13 assists and is an atrocious -15. Whenever pressured with the puck, Wideman has turned it over most of the time resulting in a goal for the opposing team.

He has even been booed on his home ice which might be a bit much considering he hasn't been the only terrible player on the Bruins this year. If there is one guy that needs to be moved at the deadline, it's Wideman.

Blake Wheeler

95923283

Blake Wheeler's stats might not look too bad at first glance. Wheeler has 12 goals and 17 assists this year after finishing with 21 goals and 24 assists last year.

The stats don't tell the whole story though. Wheeler has not played a complete 60-minute game all year long. He will play hard for about 10 minutes and then decide to call it quits.

That simply doesn't work in Claude Julien's system. Wheeler is only in his sophomore season but if his play doesn't improve then he could be shipped elsewhere.

Michael Ryder

94135323

Michael Ryder has been nothing like he was last year. Ryder, who had three very good years with the Canadiens, was signed as a free agent two years ago.

In his first year with the Bruins he had an instant impact, scoring 27 goals and assisting on another 26. Ryder was the Bruins' best sniper and it looked like he had revived his career in Boston.

Last year must have just been a flash in the pan as Ryder has struggled for most of this year. He has just 12 goals and eight assists and has been snakebit most of the year.

Ryder is signed for the next two years at $4 million a year and if they can afford to move him it would help loosen their salary cap. Peter Chiarelli has made it clear that Ryder is on the block which is not a good sign for the winger.

Steve Begin

95923485

This one might come as a surprise. Begin is in just his first year as a Bruin after being signed in the offseason. Begin is another Canadiens castoff the Bruins decided to take a chance on but it's clear that his better years are behind him.

Begin hasn't been terrible this year but he hasn't been anything special either. Begin has spent most of his time on the fourth line which hasn't exactly helped his cause where he's posted just three goals and nine assists.

His plus/minus has been the killer. He is a minus 4 right now. If Begin can't pick up his play and show that he belongs here than he will be moved.

Andrew Ference

95458019

Ference most likely won't be moved, but of the rest of the players on the roster he would be the most likely.

To be fair Ference has been injured for a good amount of time this year but while he has been out there his play has looked like he would have been better off injured.

He has zero goals and just five assists. He is a -3 this year and has looked lost in the defensive end. Sure, Ference has never really posted any spectacular numbers during his years but after the way he played last year a little more was expected out of him this year.
