Miramar High School standout wide receiver Ivan McCartney who had the Miami Hurricanes as a top finalist in the recruiting process ends up picking West Virginia. According to Rivals.com McCartney was a four star recruit, rated the 5th best receiver in the country and rated 37th overall.

This may be a small blow to the Hurricanes recruiting class but I believe this won't hurt them that bad because they already great depth in wide receivers. I also believe that Leonard Hankerson coming back for one extra year also made McCartney's decision a lot easier. He now will have a lot more playing time at West Virginia. Go Canes and I believe they should be able to recruit a top notch wide receiver next year.
