No, I'm not a Seahawks fan.

But I am a Matt Hasselbeck admirer. And I do know that's he's been one of the best quarterbacks since 2003.

Check out the stats: Over the past five years (2003-2007), he has averaged just under 3,700 passing yards per 16 games, with 26 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions.

To put that into perspective, Tom Brady only averaged 40 more passing yards and one less interception (with the same amount of TDs) from 2002-2006, the five years prior to his record season.

Hasselbeck has also been to the Pro Bowl three times in those five years, one more than Brady.

In that same time frame, the Seahawks have won the third most games (51), only trailing perennial powerhouses Indianapolis (63) and New England (66).

The 'Hawks have been to the playoffs in all five of those years as well, moving to the Super Bowl once.

And from 2002-2007, the Seahawks have been in the Top-10 in overall yards per game every year...except 2006, the year Hasselbeck played only four games and was affected by an MCL sprain all year long.

Again from 2002-2007, Hasselbeck finished in the Top-Eight for QB Rating four times, finishing out of the Top-10 in 2004 and the aforementioned excusable year of 2006.

Oh, and you can't forget the best part. His sister-in-law.
