Breaking News: ECW Officially Over; New Show to Premiere Next Week

Mackenzie HelmsCorrespondent IFebruary 3, 2010

On tonight's episode of ECW Vince Mcmahon's announcement will be none other then the end of the brand known as ECW. Yes guys, there will no longer be an ECW brand.

The new show is scheduled to debut next week and will be called WWE NXT. The NXT stands for Next Generation.

Basically the concept for the show is to showcase wrestlers from developmental to television onto the major brands - Raw and Smackdown.

We've seen superstars such as CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, and Sheamus made their debut on ECW and they're on top right now. Well you can expect a lot more of new stars just like the men I mentioned on NXT.

Don't be that surprised because the day all of the original extremists left ECW was the day that ECW really died, Vince is just changing the name of the show nothing else.

For the past two years or so all we've really seen is WWE NXT but with the name ECW in it.

Anyways I'm happy Vince is cancelling ECW, what do you guys think about this whole situation?
