The wide receiver position is loaded in the SEC. Here are the five players who will have the biggest impact in 2008.

1. Percy Harvin, Florida.

He is the most feared player in the nation when he has the ball. As a sophomore Harvin had 858 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was also second on the team in rushing with 764 yards. Look for Harvin to join Tim Tebow as a Heisman candidate for the Gators.

2. Kenny McKinley, South Carolina.

McKinley set a school record with 77 receptions and led the league with 6.4 catches a game. In Spurrier's offense he should own all school records by the end of 2008.

3. Demetrius Byrd, LSU.

Byrd is the Tigers' home run threat. He caught 35 passes for 621 yards and seven touchdowns in 2007. He should fill in nicely for departed senior Early Doucet.

4. Lucas Taylor, Tennessee.

Lucas lead the Vols with 1000 yards on 73 receptions last season. Look for the sure-handed senior to make an even bigger impact for new quarterback Jonthan Crompton in 2008.

5. Brandon LaFell, LSU.

LaFell is the second part of the LSU receiving tandem. The long and lanky wideoutl had 50 receptions for 656 yards in 2007. Whoever plays quarterback at LSU will have two reliable pass-catchers who defenses can't clamp down with a double team.
